Picking Up the Scattered Pieces—Restoring Literacy, Rebuilding Relationships, Renewing Hope
Dear Friends,
When I founded Mending Broken Branches, it wasn’t just an idea—it was a calling. A calling born from lived experience, from witnessing the quiet ache of children struggling to read, the silence between families and schools, and the weight of stories left untold. I saw the pieces—scattered across classrooms, homes, and hearts—and I knew we couldn’t leave them there.
We exist to pick up those pieces.
We restore literacy by placing books in eager hands and confidence in young voices. We rebuild relationships by helping families and educators walk together, not apart. We renew hope by reminding every child, every parent, and every partner that healing is possible—and legacy is within reach.
Through programs like DEAR Dad, summer reading camps, and family engagement workshops, we’re not just handing out books—we’re planting seeds of hope. Seeds that grow into stronger families, thriving students, and communities rooted in connection.
At Mending Broken Branches, we don’t just run programs. We tell stories. We create spaces where families feel seen, supported, and empowered to thrive.
This work is sacred. It’s generational. And it’s only just beginning.
Thank you for walking with us.
With hope and purpose,
Cindi
